Yet another example of Cornish creativity and initiative has won international recognition.
Aval Dor Vodka, a potato vodka, nurtured from plough to bottle by Colwith Farm Distillery in central Cornwall, has been awarded double gold at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This highly-respected event has been comparing and judging spirits from across the world for twenty years.
This unique vodka, incorporating seven Cornish botanicals, is distilled at the same family-run farm where the potatoes are grown.
And as if that weren’t sufficient cause for celebration, the distillery’s Stafford’s Dry Gin also came away with recognition of its quality, having been awarded a bronze medal.
