Beautiful Polzeath Beach, just a fifteen minute drive from Port Isaac, has once again been awarded Blue Flag status, giving it an international recognition of excellence.
According to the Cornish Guardian, fifteen beaches across Cornwall were awarded either a Blue Flag or Seaside Award this summer for their superb quality. The awards reflect the destination’s standard of facilities, cleanliness of water, environmental excellence and safety amongst other criteria.
Nestled south of Pentire Point and surrounded by the rugged Cornish coastline, the broad, open expanse of Polzeath beach invites swimmers, surfers and sun-seekers alike.
On the route of the south-west coast path, this gorgeous beach also offers walkers the opportunity to pause and paddle.
