This year’s Royal Cornwall Show, celebrating Cornwall’s rich rural life and heritage has, once again, been a resounding success.
According to the Cornish Guardian, over 120,000 people attended the three-day event this year, taking in the variety of entertainment and around 1000 stalls, showcasing Cornwall’s astonishing array of food and drink providers, charities and organisations. Among the visitors were the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall who appeared to enjoy all the festivities on offer.
An impressive and diverse range of exhibits and experiences included a performance of World War One: Horses and Heroes, marking the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1. A regular highlight was the Grand Parade, showing off the best of Cornwall’s cattle, sheep and goats.
Held near Wadebridge, this extraordinary event is less than 20 minutes’ drive from Port Isaac.
