The Royal National Lifeboat Institute in Port Isaac is launching a campaign to raise funds for a new D class lifeboat.
They are aiming to raise £52,000 to support their life-saving work by providing the best equipment available.
The Port Isaac RNLI lifeboat station has been active since 1867, saving the lives of those who get into difficulties at sea along the dramatic north Cornish coast.
According to their campaign data, they carried out 18 launches during 2017. Since they began their work over 150 years ago, they have saved over 300 lives.
