Based on an original recipe by the Cornish grandfather of the current distiller, made in Cornwall at Trevethan Distillery in Saltash and created using botanicals from the Cornish hedgerows, Trevethan’s ‘Cornish Gin’ is a truly Cornish gin.
According to the Cornish Guardian, this artisan gin was last month named ‘Gin of the Month’ by Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, ‘Fifteen’ in London.
Produced in small quantities and distilled by hand, the Trevethan Cornish Gin is made according to the recipe of Norman Trevethan, chauffeur to Earl and Lady St Germans in the 1920s.
Last year, another Cornish gin, Tarquin’s Cornish Navy Seadog Gin, created at Southwest Distillery in North Cornwall, was named Best in Show at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017.
