The RNLI in Port Isaac has continued its fabulous work this year with numerous call-outs to search for and rescue both people and animals along the coast and at sea, working alongside the coastguard service. Since 1967, Port Isaac RNLI has rescued 342 people.
Two new members have been welcomed into the crew this year and training has been on-going.
Fund-raising has continued successfully with ‘Lifeboat Larks’ in August raising over £4,000. Ian McNeice, one of the stars of the Doc Martin series has also raised over £1,500 for the volunteer-based service.
Port Isaac also participated in the RNLI’s ‘Yellow Welly Relay’ around the coast to raise further funds.
Father Christmas will be joining the crew on December 3rd.
