The National Trust is hosting a Christmas Scrub on Pentire Head near Polzeath on 10 December, between 10am and 2pm.
And no, it’s not what you think it is! There will be no nail brushes or loofahs in sight.
Instead it’s a bid to clear invasive scrub in this rich habitat, encouraging our coastal biodiversity.
If being on Pentire Head in December sounds a bit chilly, never fear because there will be a bonfire, jacket potatoes and free mince pies!
Those organising the event suggest wearing sturdy boots and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy.
