Six designs have been shortlisted for a new bridge at Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur.
Tintagel Castle is just a short drive (or a nine mile walk!) from the Beach House. Visitors flock to the site every year to see the rocky outcrop where the great King Arthur was born.
Soon the experience will be all the more enjoyable, as a new bridge will link the castle to the mainland.
There is currently a low-lying bridge, but when the waves come in tourists must tackle a steep slope – potentially resulting in muddy boots and a soggy bottom!
English Heritage invited architects from around the world to submit a design. Now a shortlist of six has been chosen from a total of 137 entrants, hailing from 27 different countries.
Watch this space to see who the winner will be!
