September is now upon us and the summer festivities have come to an end in Port Isaac.
As always the summer months were full of fun, and were made all the more glorious by the hot, sunny weather.
The 2014 raft race was gifted with perfect sailing conditions. This year saw the newly introduced children’s race, an event which involved a lot of seaweed and flour-throwing!
The ordinary course was also extended by another 30 feet, which proved unfortunate for one crew whose raft sank during the return stretch.
The Port Isaac Carnival was also a roaring success, with three days of music, dancing, workshops, arts, crafts and markets. And not forgetting the all-important Carnival Parade of course!
We are already looking forward to next summer for all the usual fun and games.
Just because summer is drawing to a close doesn’t mean the Port Isaac calendar will be empty.
There’s plenty to keep you entertained over the coming months, with concerts, tea parties and events to commemorate the centenary of World War One.
If you would like to experience all that Port Isaac has to offer, please get in touch with Colin and book your stay at the Beach House.
