North Cornwall is the place for watersports, which is hardly surprising seeing as the Atlantic Ocean is on our doorstep. Sea kayaking, windsailing, kite surfing and sailing and coasteering abound all year round, so you’ll never go bored, no matter what month you visit!
If you’re staying with us at the Beach House, we suggest you check out Cornish Coast Adventures in nearby Port Quin which offers coasteering and kayaking trips. Or if it’s surf you’re after, check out Polzeath beach just 10 minutes down the road. It’s widely considered to be a surfer’s paradise, and depending upon the weather is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned professionals. Tuition and hire are available if you need.
Away from the rolling sea, the Tamar Lakes and the Bude Canal are great places to try out a spot of sailing or windsurfing, while Mobius Kite School in Perranporth gives you a chance to ride the waves at spectacular speeds.
If you’d rather be on the water rather than in it, regular fishing trips depart from Port Isaac and surroundings areas. You never know, you might even catch your own dinner.
Book your next adventure holiday!
These are just a few watersports on offer in and around Port Isaac. So whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just keen to give it a go, this is the place to be! Reserve your stay in the Beach House and enjoy all the activities North Cornwall has to offer.
