Fantastic news – Port Isaac has regained its beach from being a public car park.
In recent years the village has become a victim of its own success by the sheer number of visitors who wished to drink in the beautiful historic fishing village with a backdrop that you could not replicate anywhere else.
As a result only licensed holders are being given access to park on the beach.
The council has provided a 120 space car park on the approach to Port Isaac at the top of the village which has reduced traffic drastically through its narrow streets, thus making it more enjoyable to both visitors and locals.
The historic village has had a massive influx of visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of the fictional Port Wenn stars and the now chart topping sea shanty group The Fisherman’s Friends.
